biOrb Ceramic Filter Media
Extra ceramic media can be added to the biOrb to improve biological filtration if desired.
The pores in ceramic media will become clogged over time by dirt and lime scale reducing the amount of surface area available for filter bacteria to live and do their job. Removing some of the old ceramic media and adding a new pack every year will help to keep the filter functioning at its best and therefore keep the water clearer and healthier for longer.
If the media is to be replaced it must be changed gradually to maintain biological filtration!
